A Return to the North
Join our next campus outreach event.
The door to the northern part of Ethiopia remained open and we were able to send staff there for a two-week visit. We were also so excited to plant a new staff there. Going into a war- impacted area, we weren’t really sure what would be seen or felt or heard as our team connected with people who had witnessed so much the past two years. What was found was an openness and an eagerness to follow Jesus faithfully among students and churches that remained, despite all they had seen and witnessed. Praise God!
Our team visited Mekelle and Axum and the surrounding cities. They found hundreds of Christian students eager to be served and equipped. Our staff were able to give a training for student leaders on team leadership, small groups, and how to share the gospel contextually. We were able to also give them our annual theme and teachings from the book of Matthew. Area church partners and leaders were also connected with.
We are so excited to see what God will do in this north region! Please keep our staff person, Dawit, in your prayers in the time ahead and for the upcoming plans for the region. May God do a great movement there! Many have been traumatized and the area needs much prayer!
