Meet Nati

"One of our new staff in training shared his story…"

Natneal (Nati) Solomon grew up in a rural area of Shashemene around 250 km from Addis Ababa. He was one of ten children in his family. He says his family was "Christian" but it was largely just culture and he didn't fully understand about Jesus or what it meant to follow Him.

During elementary school into high school, Nati became very rebellious and aggressive. He was going the wrong way and lifting his life to wrong things.

When it was time for college, Nati chose a college that was as far away from his home as possible. He was placed in the Bishoftu area at the Addis Ababa University branch campus with a major in Veterinary Medicine. Little did Nati know that God was going to get his attention on this campus and redirect his life!

In the 2nd semester of his second year (of a six-year program), Nati visited the EvaSUE campus fellowship and this is where He saw Jesus in the lives of the staff and students there. He learned about Jesus thoroughly and gave his life to follow Him! A physical problem he had also suffered with for years was healed after joining the fellowship.

Nati's life began to change more and more as he was poured into by EvaSUE staff. One campus staff, Dave, mentored Nati and impacted him deeply by showing him servant leadership and a servant lifestyle. Nati became a family group leader and would end up leading the entire fellowship in his final two years!

Nati is passionate to pour into others and tell people about Jesus and see lives changed as his has been!

EvaSUE also conducted a Scripture Engagement Consultation from December 11–16 in Bishoftu for all of its staff and a few associates. The consultation was facilitated by EvaSUE's scripture engagement team and the IFES scripture engagement global team. Among the topics covered were convictions and motivation in scripture engagement, principles of interpretation, and biblical responses to contextual issues. The consultation also included Bible exposition, small group discussions, and corporate prayer. Each participant was challenged to stop and rethink what the word of God is to them, why they engage with it, and how relevant it is to the problems they are facing in their respective contexts. We are excited about the way these transformed participants will impact the students and communities they serve.

God can redirect any life and use them to advance the kingdom! Praise God! We are so excited to have Nati join the EvaSUE staff team!

We thank God for Nati and all our new staff in training!

What will God do in and through these new young staff in the coming years?

We know God has an amazing plan! Please keep all of our new staff in your prayers!
